This retreat is not only for  yoga practice with a tight schedule, It is also a great vacation for you after your busy schedule. After the class go for hikes, walk around the nature, forest, and every Saturday outing to explore Nepal with the school team. This place is run by the husband Biren Shrestha( a Nepali actor too) is the good manager and his Wife Kriti is the main yoga teacher with 8 years daughter in the Yoga home. This place is very safe with a family member.

Daily Schedule

1st day:

  • 12:00 pm- Check-in. After arrival just soaks up the stunning views from our terraces with hot herbal tea or coffee.
  • 01:00 pm- Lunch & time for a short hike, rest or walk around the nature.
  • 02:30- 4:00 pm- Massage therapy 1 hour, steam or sauna 30 minutes).
  • 05-6:00pm- Yoga Nidra meditation
  • 06:30 pm- Dinner – delicious plant-based local organic buffet-style dinner.

 

2nd day:

  • 07:00–9:00 am– Energizing morning yoga and pranayama practice.
  • 09:30 am– Local Organic breakfast and free time to explore nearby areas or relax in the sun in our yoga garden.
  • 11:00–12:30 pm– Sound healing therapy for physical and mental relaxation.
  • 1:00 pm– Delicious lunch to nourish you after your healing session.
  • 3:00–4:30 pm- Introduction to balance life-style and meditation  for stress management.
  • 6:30 pm– Dinner – fully vegetarian, local, and mostly organic.

 

Day 03:

  • 07:00–9:00 am– Energizing morning yoga, pranayama & meditation practice.
  • 09:30 am– Local Organic breakfast and free time to explore nearby areas or relax in the sun in our yoga garden.
  • 11:00–12:30 pm– Reiki healing therapy to cure the diseases.
  • 01:00 pm– Delicious lunch to nourish you after your healing session.
  • 03:00–4:30 pm- Mantra philosophy & chanting healing meditation.
  • 06:30 pm– Dinner – fully vegetarian, local, and mostly organic.

 

Day 04:

Depending on the weather, we go on short or lengthy hikes.

We take brief hikes around the retreat center and matatirtha temple in the monsoon or inclement weather.

When the weather is right, we head to Chandragiri Hill, a four-hour hike up to the hills from where, when the conditions are favorable, you can see Mount Everest.

You are responsible for paying for your own food while hiking and returning by cable car.

There will be massage therapy in the afternoon at 4 o’clock to calm the body, the breath, and the mind.

 

5th day:

  • 07:00–9:00am- Chanting, yoga and breathing exercise.
  • 09:30am- Breakfast
  • 11:00–12:30pm- Sound healing therapy.
  • 01:00pm- Lunch as always buffet style, rich in choices and ranging from Western to Eastern cuisine.
  • 03:00–4:30pm- Meditation
  • 06:30pm- Dinner – all vegetarian, mostly organic and local, made 100% with love and respect to you and nature.

 

6th day:

We travel to the surrounding Kathmandu Valley for our weekend retreat.

Many individuals go to attend a week-long yoga retreat on a strict schedule before leaving for home.

So, we make the decision to take our valued guests on a full-day excursion during this life-releasing and vacation-focused health retreat.

They will have the opportunity to see Nepal, particularly the capital city of Kathmandu, in order to feel more refreshed.

This will provide them some free time to explore Nepal and know about its culture, religion, marketplace, cuisine, traditions, and honest citizens, among other things.

We accompany you so the instructor or a guide may explain you about Nepali customs, religion, fascinating historical facts, temples, and Lord Gautam Buddha’s renowned stupa.

We will take you to the most significant and well-known location in Nepal, also referred to as the most visited tourist attractions in the Kathmandu Valley.

The majority of tourists from around the world travel specifically to these four locations since they have a rich historical past.

  • Swayambhunath (the monkey temple)
  • Stupa of Boudha (Most visited place)
  • Pashupatinath Shrine (the Lord Shiva temple)
  • Bhaktapur (the historical place of Nepal)

From the Monkey Temple, Baudha Stupa, Pashupatinath, and ultimately Bhaktapur, we take you on a full-day excursion.

While we supply the Jeep and the tour guide or your teacher, you are responsible for buying your own transit and food while on this excursion. 

 

7th day:

  • 07:00am- Morning yoga with a nourishing splash of pranayama.
  • 09:00am- Breakfast before you head out.
  • 12:00pm- Check out.

Our 7 days yoga retreat in Nepal allows people to reside in a beautiful Nepalese traditional guest house where you will be placed in very lovely, eco-friendly accommodations situated amidst acres of blossoming gardens, hiking trails, the mountains, the forest, the hills, and absolutely breathtaking views from the yoga home. The guest house is clean with all amenities for your comfort; clean bed sheets, towels, AC, TV in the dining hall. 24-hours of free Wi-Fi, own attached bathrooms with hot & cold water, balcony, and very helpful staff for your service.

This Yoga retreat is at Mandala Yoga Retreat Resort(Chandragiri hill) which is a branch of the well-known and much-beloved Mandala Studio Yoga & Spa. Our location offers the best you can hope for. We are located at the foothills in Chandragiri, a 30-minute drive from Thamel. We sit cozily between two hills at 2200 meters above sea level which gives you peace and silence, fresh mountain air, stunning views of Kathmandu valley as well as the Himalayan ranges of Annapurna and other mountains.

Breakfast, lunch, and dinner are prepared daily and include healthy vegetarian options. You don’t have to worry about the fee because it’s one of the most affordable  yoga retreats in Nepal. Food is made from vegetables grown in the area, organic when available, and prepared with nourishing ingredients. Examples of Nepali style meals are traditional root-vegetables and lentils curry with white and brown rice, seasonable vegetables and fruits salad and roti, as well as plenty of green vegetables and fruits harvested by the villagers themselves, fresh juice, brown toast with homemade jam, and for breakfast; green herbal tea with many more options.

Their kitchen is open and attached to the canteen (you can always see what’s going on). All food is served buffet-style. There is always water, tea, and seasonal fruits in the dining hall for you to snack on.
The food is prepared with love, peace, gratitude, and positive intention, in order to increase and sustain prana. If you have special dietary requirements it’s a good idea to communicate them to the organizer when making your reservation.
